A village pub for everyone
Make your next stop The Junction Inn. On Station Road we keep a welcoming bar and rooms for the village — walkers, neighbours and travellers alike.
Old and new Groombridge
Groombridge straddles Kent and East Sussex along the River Grom. Older Groombridge lies largely in Kent; Victorian “new” Groombridge grew with the railway in East Sussex. The Junction Inn stands in that newer village on Station Road.
From Junction Hotel to village inn
Built in the mid-1800s as the Junction Hotel for railway travellers, the building has long been a stop for people on the move and those who call the village home.
The Long Room
The Long Room once lodged navvies who built the line. Later it served as a drill hall for the London Rifle Brigade, a tea room, and a games room. Today it is available to hire for weddings, wakes, life events, meetings and clubs — enquire with us for details.
Railway & walks
Nearby, Groombridge Station and the Spa Valley Railway keep the railway story alive. Walks from the village include the Forest Way, Birchden Wood, Harrison’s Rocks, Tunbridge Wells Circular sections, and routes toward Ashurst.
